Biography and History

Colin’s life in jewellery began in 1972 as an apprentice in Hatton Garden, where a high standard of excellence in all aspects of manufacturing was required. Back then accuracy, attention to detail and perfection were considered essential to achieve a successful career in the jewellery trade. After his 5 year apprenticeship he worked in various workshops, gaining invaluable experience, honing the many different skills and techniques involved in the process of jewellery making. In 1989 he was invited to join the team of craftsmen working at H A Jordan of Bond Street, ‘the spiritual home of fine art and excellence’. At Jordan’s he was exposed to a different world entirely. He describes the workshop as “Victorian in both appearance, and attitude to the production of fine jewellery. They were reproducing Georgian, Victorian, and Art Deco piece’s, alongside the latest contemporary designs with equal dexterity.”

Colin now splits his time between West cork and Javea, Alicante.

Today he offers the knowledge and experience gained from 40 years of design and manufacture. Clients have ranged from prospective fiancées, to music celebs, and the English & Saudi Royal Families.
