The workshop
The Inner Sanctum.
Making a piece of jewellery generally requires 4 distinctly different disciplines.
Design : speaks for itself.
Mounting : The process of manipulating, soldering and forming precious metals into the ‘mount’, ready to take the stones.
Setting : The process of setting the stones into the mount, employing a variety of methods (without using adhesives), to suit the style & period of the piece. Much underestimated!
Finishing : This is not simply polishing. Jewellery requires lots of different finishes. This includes numerous types of plating, texturing, oxidising and various grades of polishing.
Within my workshop I have all the equipment and knowledge required to carry out all of these processes.
